Americans Should Read OTC Medicine More Carefully: Study

Although most Americans recognize the importance of reading OTC medication labels, only 20% of American adult consumers re-read the label of an OTC medicine they used before, according to a study issued by McNeil Consumer Healthcare. Many also reported not paying consistent attention to labels as a critical tool for the safe and responsible use of OTC medicines. McNeil also unveiled the “Every Label, Every Time” initiative to educate consumers about the appropriate use of OTC medicines.
